HiVi is a leading manufacturer of stereophile quality audio systems. Employing some of the worlds’ finest electro-acoustical technicians and craftsmen, the company established state-of-the art R+D facilities in Toronto, Canada in 1994 and was fueled by early successes with innovative driver designs. In 1997, HiVi merged with highly-regarded speaker manufacturer Swans Speaker Systems and opened corporate offices in Monterey Park, California. Respected audio designer Frank Hale, former president of Swans, continues to serve today as Chief Designer for HiVi Speaker Systems.

HiVi’s proprietary driver technologies including Planar Ribbon Tweeters are employed by many of the audio industry’s top brands. With focused re-investment in research and development, HiVi continues to advance the art and science of electro-acoustical engineering. The merger with Swans provided the opportunity for complete system research and design. Swans V8HT Home Theater

Slim, elegant, and modern, the Swans V8HT is specifically designed to be partnered with plasma televisions. With its glass splints, piano lacquered front panels, and machined aluminum tweeter mountings, the V8 breaks traditional speaker design ideas showing itself to be a true work of art combining function with fad. HiVi designed the V8 with many accessories allowing it to adapt easily to different kinds of home environments. Interchangeable grills of different colors allow the user to match the system to match any interior design.

Wall mounting brackets combined with the speakers slim design give the user the ability to mount the speaker out of the way on the wall with their plasma television. Never before have wall mounted speakers sounded or looked so good. Optional glass stands give the ability to integrate the system into your home theater without drilling holes and mounting them on the wall if desired as well. Swans V8HT is composed of two front speakers (Swans V8F), a center speaker (Swans V8C), two surround speakers (Swans V8R), and a powered subwoofer (Swans SUB50B).

Swans V8F is a 2 way sealed box system. The driver configuration consists of a 28 mm treated fabric dome tweeter in an aluminum machined encasing, and 4 4” magnesium/aluminum alloy cone woofers. Swans V8C is a 2 way sealed box system. The driver configuration consists of a 28 mm treated fabric dome tweeter in an aluminum machined encasing, and 4 4” magnesium/aluminum alloy cone woofers. Swans V8R is a 2 way sealed box system. The driver configuration consists of a 28 mm treated fabric dome tweeter in an aluminum machined encasing, and 2 4” magnesium/aluminum alloy cone woofers.

Swans SUB50B is a powered passive radiator subwoofer system. Amplifier power is rated up to 120 W rms. Driver configuration is a 10” active woofer and a 10” passive woofer acting as a radiator.
