Bay Area Tube Festival Impressions
"Many thanks to Ben Reginato (bmrsvx@pacbell.net) for organizing an all-day set of lectures and demonstrations at the Randall Museum in San Francisco on 23 September 2001. My only regret was that I did not have a spare pair of Atma-Sphere amps to bring along. They would have shown nicely.
" Both the Cy Brennerman EL-34 SE cathode follower and the Kara Chaffee 845 deHavilland (with Electra-Print OPT) amps sounded effortless at the end of the day. The Kara Chaffee amp was the best of the group, and presented a wide and deep sound field to me. As some of you know, I am nearly deaf in my left ear, and it is a mystery to me that I can hear sound stage with good stereo systems but not in "real life".
