The Graham Arm Design

Advanced, patented unipivot main bearing has been re-designed, incorporating a machined and finished tungsten housing material (aluminum in the 1.5) and matched Swiss-made tun sten carbide bearings. Using the standard counterweight, bearing load is well in excess of I 00 tons/in2 resulting in zero play, no chatter, and lower friction than other pivoted tonearms. Special silicone fluid in the pivot well provides controlled damping both in the horizontal and vertical planes, and further dissipation of any residual vibrations.

Micrometer adjustments for azimuth, VTA, and tracking force. All adjustments either self-lock or have additional locking features, and will not vary over time. Model 2.0 VTA adjustment system now has two scales: vertical (as offered on the 1.5), and a second vernier indicator allowing repeatable changes in VTA of 0.005".

Counterweight adapter properly balances any known high-quality cartridge (and further increases the bearing loading), yet keeps the moment of inertia as low as possible.

Sophisticated anti-skate system uses a variable-force system, engineered with ABEC-5 precision ballbearings.With total isolation from the main tonearm system by means of an effective low-pass filter in the coupling line, the stylus is properly compensated for the varying forces involved at different parts of the record. True arm tube damping features concentric construction with energy-absorbing damping bands separating the inner and outer tubes. Vibrational energy is largely absorbed and dissipated as heat.

Model 2.0 interchangeable ceramic armwands feature a denser tapered ceramic material and the finish is electrocoated over a metal substrate to provide improved shielding,These SW-3 armwands incorporate premium Graham specified wire and a special Bendix aerospace connector Patented CA-2 alignment gauge, provided with dual-power magnifier, assures the convenience and safety of precise, off-turntable cartridge alignment. Extra armwands allow instantaneous cartridge changing and testing. The Model 2.0 includes SW-3 armwand, tungsten sideweights, all gauges and a complete tool kit.. Model 2.0 Basic includes aluminum armwand, brass sideweights, no tools or gauges and is recommended for dealer installation.

Termination options include the Graham IC-30 Direct Cable which incorporates the same premium wire featured in the Model 2.0.The IC-30 cable uses our proprietary compact DIN plug and WBT phono or XLR conrectors, assuring maximum signal transfer and mechanical isolation, Optional IC-2.5 junction box also uses our w re, compact DIN plug, and WBT connectors with a short, very flexible wiring harness. Graham 2.0 Basic has matching cost effective IC-10 Direct Cable and IC-1 junction box.

Graham custom mounting system features a new, more rigid mounting clamp (SME mounting also available). Special Linn LP- 12 version includes mass optimized brass housing and Graham custom armboard. Graham custom armboard systems available for VPI TNT and Aries turntables.
